What I’m Doing Now
Updated January 4th, 2024 from Atlanta, Georgia.
Coaching Youth Basketball
I’ve been coaching a 7th-grade basketball team, and boy, has it been a lot of fun. This is the second youth team that I’ve coached in the past year, and it’s reignited my passion for the game after stepping away for a while.
I’ve hooped and watched basketball for the majority of my life, so I thought I understood the game, but now I’m seeing that there is so much more to learn. Seeing the game from the perspective of a coach is tremendously different from that of a player, and learning different offenses and principles from the game from coaches like Bob McKillop who invented the Davidson offense has been amazing.
Picking up Podcasting Again
This has been a fun side project. Picking up the mics to make a podcast with your friends (because we definitely the only ones on the internet doing this).
It’s called Current Status with my friends Ant and Renaissance, where we talk about what’s on our mind.
Its been fun learning how audio edit and even plan content for the shows.
Book that I’m Reading
- Essentialism by Greg McKeown – This has been a great book for those who might have a little bit too much on their plate (definitely me half the time) and want to be able to really figure out and hone in on the things that they actually value in life. Its about learning on focus on the people, projects, and careers that really matter to you.
